Nike Air Force 1 Low "Yardrunners"

Here's the short version: The Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Howard University’ will be released on 21 December 2024 for €120 via SNKRS. However, the shoe will also be available from selected retailers such as DTLR on 18 December. The sneaker is part of Nike's Yardrunners 5.0 programme celebrating HBCUs and combines elegant sail leather with brown accents. This honours Howard's bison mascot. The reissue of the classic has a high-quality upper made of tumbled leather, combined with details in Bison Brown on the Swoosh, heel and inner lining. Instead of obvious school colours like blue and red, the design captures the spirit of Howard in a more subtle way. For example, with coordinates on the side of the forefoot that lead directly to the campus. The rubber sole in a matching brown tone rounds off the harmonious, seasonal design.

The collaboration is part of Nike's Yardrunners initiative, which has been honouring the heritage of Black colleges through storytelling and design since 2020. For the fifth chapter, we drew creative inspiration from alumni such as Kahlana Barfield Brown, giving the shoe a particularly authentic touch.

It will be available in stores on 18 December 2024 and on the SNKRS app on 21 December 2024. It costs €120.
