The most obvious change to the new Air Force 1 Mid is definitely the split design. The front half uses a black leather look, with the laces and eyestays also reverting to the clean aesthetic. The back and front parts are connected on the inside by an overlapping TPU element, while the outside has a clean cut.

The rear section of the sneaker uses a fine mesh structure, and the soles are also transparent. A special material is used on the Jewel Swoosh, with the logo framed by even more nylon. The heel area also features a raised loop and the new closure strap, which has been moved to the back of the sneaker. In order to live up to the indescribable comfort of the predecessor, the modified version uses a padded shoe tongue as well as the already familiar React foam plate.

The "Black" showcases a deep black on the leather elements for the most part, while the breathable nylon flaunts a mix of "Sail" and "Ghost Green". The jewel Swooshes, however, pick up on the dark aesthetic of the front section and are complemented in colour by the closure strap and the mudguards, among others. The tongues and lining brighten up the design with a toxic green, while the soles at the back are an icy, semi-transparent blue.
