Instead of simply wrapping Nike's popular classic in a team-inspired colour scheme, the Beaverton-based brand together with the NBA are adopting a different colour scheme for the next Air Force 1 creation. This time, they are diving into the league's rulebook and referring to the forbidden accessories for players on the court.

The Nike Air Force 1 again serves as a canvas for inspiration. In addition, two models are released to convey the whole idea. Basketball players are not allowed to wear jewellery on the court because of the close contact. That is why players often wear their headbands upside down.

On its throat, the shoe presents the inverted NBA logo, and the Swooshes have a metallic insert that stands for the accessories. Further back, the smooth leather inserts are dyed grey, and the Nike Air brandings on the heels are taped off.
