"Plaid" is the checkered pattern known worldwide, which we know mainly as "tartan". The Beavertonians have now decided to give the Air Force 1 such a tartan pattern to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

From top to bottom, this Air Force 1 is anything but ordinary. In fact, the shoe comes mainly in a creamy "Sail" hue. All of the tumbled leather is kept in the light beige, with the checkered tartan pattern joining it at the back of the shoe. The outsole has also been kept in the matching gum colour.

To provide the necessary contrasts, the tartan pattern on the back is kept in a mix of green tones. The Swooshes, tongue tags, lining, and heel caps are also in deep black.
