The Nike Air Max 1 is an absolute icon in the sneaker game and has attracted a lot of attention in recent months. The multi-part collaboration with Patta has especially rekindled the love for the classic in the community. After the extensive collaboration with the Dutch label, the silhouette is now receiving Nike's undivided attention as part of the 35th anniversary and is therefore also being released in many new colour combinations. For this very special release, however, the label with the Swoosh is now significantly modifying the classic and doing without the silhouette's trademark.

The special edition of the Nike Air Max 1 is still based on the original design of the classic, but some elements have been drastically modified. The most obvious change is the once visible Air unit in the sole, which is now only visible in the form of cut-outs in the material.

In addition, the regular Swooshes have been replaced by transparent Jewel versions, which present a pure white. The construction of the base and the overlays is similar to the original model, but the special edition uses a wider range of materials. The base is made of fine grey mesh, while the overlays are made of regular leather and suede. They show off a colour mix of light blue, yellow, white, and light grey. The standard laces have also been replaced and now use a toggle closure system with a silver finish.
