The Nike Air Max 90 remains one of the strongest classics in the Nike line-up in 2026 – especially when the Swoosh works with small material updates rather than overhauling the entire design. That’s exactly what’s happening with the new “Hyper Crimson” colourway.

The base consists of grey mesh, combined with dark leather overlays in various shades of grey and black details on the Swoosh, midsole and heel. The highlight, however, is clearly the mudguard: there, a slightly marbled, almost washed-out pattern adds depth and a significantly more premium look.

Added to this are bold “Hyper Crimson” accents on the Air element, the branding and the inner lining, which give the rather muted upper just the right amount of energy. Overall, the trainer looks sporty, technical and, at the same time, extremely suitable for everyday wear.

Of course, the classic Air Max 90 features remain: visible Air cushioning, the waffle sole and the familiar panel construction that makes Tinker Hatfield’s design so iconic to this day.
