The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Infrared’ is one of the most famous trainers of all time and a central part of Air Max history. In 2026, Nike is bringing the legendary colourway back once again – this time with minor updates that give the classic a modern twist.

Visually, the look remains familiar: The combination of white, grey, black and the iconic ‘Infrared’ red continues to create that unmistakable style. However, this time Nike has opted more heavily for leather rather than mesh, giving the trainer a slightly cleaner and more premium look.

The materials have also been slightly tweaked. Alongside smooth leather, textured suede overlays are used, adding more depth to the upper. In addition, reflective 3M details ensure the shoe stands out even in low light.

Despite these changes, the DNA of the original remains intact. The classic Air Max 90 construction with a visible Air unit, characteristic panel structure and striking colour blocking ensures the trainer remains instantly recognisable.
