Almost the entire upper comes in a beige hue and is adorned with muted accents. Two of the signature stripes are wrapped in a beige of the same hue, while the bottom stripe is a bright orange. This eye-catching accent is complemented by loops of the same colour at the heel. A gum outsole rounds off the sneaker perfectly in terms of colour.

The Nike Air Max 97 Rock N Roll is equipped with special details that clearly set the sneaker apart from regular models. For example, there is a small yellow "Just Do It" inscription on the outside of the shoe. The outer Swoosh is also complemented by a discreet peace symbol. A look at the shoe tongue also reveals an open mouth with red lipstick, with a Nike inscription found inside. The same detail is also visible on the insoles.
