The Air Max Plus remains a staple in the 2020s – and with the comeback of the Air Max Plus VII, Nike is bringing a true Tuned Air classic from 2005 back to the streets. For its 20th anniversary in 2026, the silhouette is getting several new colourways, including this striking ‘Black/Medium Ash’ version.

Visually, the sneaker features a rather sombre setup with targeted energy boosters. The structured mesh upper in Medium Ash provides the typical ripple look, while black TPU overlays emphasise the wave-shaped cage structure. This makes the shape appear somewhat cleaner and more mature than earlier, louder TN releases.

A bright crimson mini Swoosh immediately catches the eye and picks up on the warm tone in the visible Air elements. A dark copper fade on the heel adds a subtle sunset vibe – a subtle homage to classic TN colourways. The outsole adds yellow, orange and red accents, making it clear that this shoe features genuine Tuned Air.

The black midsole grounds the design and provides balance, while the TN badge on the heel serves as a subtle nod to heritage.
