With the Air Max Plus “Scorpion”, Nike continues its Scorpion series, inspired by the World Cup. Following the Air Max 90, Air Max 95 and Air Max Plus VII, the classic TN is now also getting a colourway that pays direct homage to the legendary “Secret Tournament” campaign from 2002.

The upper consists of breathable black mesh with durable synthetic leather overlays. The striking silver Tuned Air caging gives the Air Max Plus its unmistakable look, whilst also evoking the futuristic aesthetic of the early 2000s. Small Gamma Blue Swooshes and blue accents on the outsole provide subtle contrasts, whilst yellow TN Air details and understated red highlights round off the design.

The real highlight is on the tongue: there, a hexagonal Scorpion badge replaces the classic branding and ties directly into the famous Scorpion campaign. Together with the visible Nike Air cushioning and the familiar Tuned Air construction, the trainer remains a true Air Max classic, both visually and functionally.
