Nike Air Max Pre-Day Liquid Lime

Nike opens a new chapter in 2021 and continues the story of Air Max cushioning with the Nike Air Max Pre-Day. Nike itself describes the in-house Air Max cushioning as "the embodiment of the Nike design philosophy".

This story began with the Air Max 1 in 1987 and continued with the full-length cushioning in the AM97 in 1997. 20 years later, the cushioning took on a new form with the Air VaporMax.

The Nike Air Max Pre-Day is the beginning of a new Air Max era. With a Steve Prefontaine-inspired name, the kicks combine '70s style with innovative Air Max cushioning to give us a silhouette that revolves around reduced and circular design principles.

Nike has reworked the materials and made the upper even lighter and more breathable. The first colourway mixes light green and dark green hits with mesh, ripstop, and suede. The midsole has also been completely gutted and stuffed with Air Max cushioning. This further reduces the overall weight of the Nike Air Max Pre-Day and makes the silhouette more voluminous.
