Even before Kanye West started working with the Herzogenaurach-based brand, and before today's hyped-up Yeezys were being launched one week after the other, the famous rapper created sneakers in collaboration with the brand's rival Nike. The so-called Air Yeezy models are now being sold at horrendous prices on reseller markets and are therefore very coveted.

After a lengthy sampling process, Kanye West and lead designer Mark Smith decided to release three colourways. The "Zen Grey", "Blink”, and "Net" saw the light of day in 2009 and polarised the entire sneaker community due to Kanye's immense popularity. Only three years later, the Air Yeezy 2 was launched and probably generated even more hype.

The Air Yeezy 2 Red October is probably the most famous colourway of the series. The extremely striking red attracts all the attention and dominates almost the entire shoe. Only the golden aglets on the laces set a very subtle accent.

The sneaker focuses on a high-cut design and thus strongly reminds us of a basketball shoe. The strap, which is pulled over the laces of the shoe, is also mostly known from basketball. Of course, the visible Air unit is a must, which gives the Yeezy the typical Nike touch. In the heel area, you can also find unique tines. In general, the Air Yeezy is a very daring sneaker.
