TLDR: The Nike Book 1 ‘Blue Blood’ will be released on 10 April 2025 for €150. With a denim upper, vintage midsole and Kentucky blue, the sneaker pays homage to Devin Booker's college days. All the info as always on Grailify! Just in time for the hot phase of March Madness, Nike is launching a very special colourway - and it clearly has college pride in its design: the Nike Book 1 ‘Blue Blood’ pays homage to Devin Booker's time with the Kentucky Wildcats and perfectly combines denim, retro details and basketball heritage.
The most striking feature is the full-length denim upper, which gives the shoe a robust yet fashionable look. This is complemented by classic Kentucky blue accents on the laces, inner lining and tongue. The latter even features the retro Wildcats logo, which fans of the old NCAA era will instantly recognise.
Another highlight is the exposed foam tongue, a first for the Book 1, which, together with the pre-yellowed midsole, gives the shoe its popular vintage look. The embroidered ‘1’ on the heel is reminiscent of Booker's jersey number.
Functionally, everything remains at the usual high level: the performance DNA of the Book series is retained, even if this colourway has more of a lifestyle character.
