TLDR: The Nike Book 2 ‘Rising’ marks the launch of Devin Booker's second signature series – inspired by the mythical phoenix and Booker's hometown of Phoenix. The black basketball shoe with fiery accents will be released on 22 January 2026 for €150. The Nike Book 2 ‘Rising’ marks a new chapter for Devin Booker's signature line. Following the final Book 1 ‘Torched’ release, the first colourway of its successor is now available – inspired by the symbol of the phoenix, which represents rebirth and ascension. A fitting reference to Booker's career and his connection to the city of Phoenix.
The shoe features a black suede upper, which is set off by gradient Swooshes in sundial yellow, safety orange and red. The midsole is reminiscent of liquid lava, while the transparent outsole provides a clear contrast. Branding such as ‘Book’ on the tongue and ‘Chapter Two’ on the heel emphasise the new beginning.
The Book 2 has been further developed in terms of performance: an Air Zoom element in the forefoot, a low court feel and a shape inspired by skate shoes and models such as the Spiridon offer direct traction and control – just as Booker wanted.
