TLDR: The Nike Book 2 “Haven & Hector” is Devin Booker’s latest tribute to his two Cane Corsos. Black pony hair, bronze-coloured details and icy soles create an eye-catching look with a personal story – it releases on 1 June for €160. Devin Booker once again combines basketball with personal details from his everyday life in his signature sneaker. The Nike Book 2 “Haven & Hector” is inspired by his two dogs and follows on directly from the popular “Haven” colourway of the Book 1 from 2024.
The most striking feature is the black pony hair upper, which replicates the fur texture of the two Cane Corsos. Added to this are bronze-coloured Swooshes and tongue details, which give the trainer a sophisticated contrast. Underneath, an icy blue outsole provides an extra pop.
The small details are particularly exciting: The inside of the tongue features illustrations of Haven and Hector, whilst different “H” logos on the tongues represent both dogs. This makes the release feel significantly more personal than many other performance basketball shoes currently on the market.
Technically, the Book 2 naturally remains focused on performance, but effortlessly combines the eye-catching lifestyle look with everyday practicality. It’s precisely these kinds of storytelling releases that are making the Booker line so popular right now.
