With the Nike Book 2 PRM “Varsity Purple”, Devin Booker revisits one of his favourite basketball shoes from childhood. Also known as the “Eggplant Foamposite”, the colourway borrows the unmistakable palette of the legendary Nike Air Foamposite One and transfers it to the low-profile, modern shape of the Book 2.

The highlight is a moulded synthetic upper covered in shimmering Varsity Purple. Its nearly seamless construction immediately recalls the futuristic Foamposite shell while remaining lightweight and suitable for fast movements on the court. Black accents across the Swoosh, laces and supporting sections provide sharp contrast and complete the familiar “Eggplant” aesthetic.

Underneath the striking upper sits the performance technology of the regular Book 2. A forefoot Air Zoom unit delivers responsive cushioning, while the Cushlon 3.0 midsole and plush sockliner provide a comfortable ride. An integrated midfoot webbing system helps secure the foot during cuts and pivots. The modernised herringbone outsole draws inspiration from classic Nike Basketball models and offers reliable traction.

According to Nike, the Book 2 fits slightly small. Anyone between sizes or looking for additional room should consider going half a size up.

Following its US launch on 10 August, the Nike Book 2 PRM “Varsity Purple” is expected to arrive in Europe on 10 September 2026. The price is set at 155€.
