With the Nike Book 2, Devin Booker stays true to his line: a basketball shoe that not only delivers performance but also works off the court. For the ‘Spiridon’ colourway, Nike delves deep into the archives and draws inspiration from the iconic Air Zoom Spiridon – one of the most influential running models of the 90s.

The upper is made of breathable mesh, combined with synthetic overlays on the mudguard, in the style of the original. Particularly striking are the ribbon lace eyelets, which were taken directly from the Spiridon and give the shoe a clear heritage vibe. The colour scheme of the release is based on the OG palette from 1997: metallic silver, sport red, black and white create a timeless, technical look.

Despite its strong retro influences, the Book 2 remains an uncompromising performance shoe. The low silhouette, direct court feel and reactive cushioning make it ideal for quick changes of direction – while the clean look fits easily into everyday life. It's no coincidence that Booker has already worn the shoe in several PEs on the court before it is now officially released.
