Based on feedback from the community, Nike is bringing back the iconic Cortez in a revamped version. The silhouette remains true to the original 1970s design, while functional improvements ensure a more comfortable and durable wearing experience.

The suede and nylon upper has been reinforced to reduce creasing and abrasion. A wider toe box offers more space and comfort, while sturdy side panels provide additional stability for everyday wear. The classic foam midsole with wedge insert has also been retained, ensuring the typical Cortez comfort – accompanied by a grippy herringbone pattern outsole.

The newly released Cortez comes in the colourway Silt Red/Phantom/Light Chocolate, but remains clearly anchored in vintage style – a deliberate homage to the running classic developed in 1972 by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, which has long since achieved cult status in pop culture.
