Nike Dunk High "Doernbecher XIX" (US-Exclusive)

The label with the Swoosh is endeavouring on many fronts to make its contribution to a better and more sustainable world. These efforts are not only expressed through the use of recycled materials, but also through partnerships such as with the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Oregon. As part of their annual Freestyle programme, they offer young patients at the hospital the opportunity to design a Nike sneaker, which is later auctioned off with the profits going to the foundation. The collections that are regularly created as a result are always in high demand and look extremely good. This year's shoes are no exception in this respect. 

"She believed she could, so she did" is Macey's motto. And this phrase naturally takes pride of place on the outsole of the Nike Dunk High. The overlays on the sneaker are decorated in a beautiful floral pattern. There is also a grey bow on the side of the sneaker, which is intended to show that she has survived a brain tumour. However, there is a very funny detail on the tongue. On the front you can see a cookie and on the back the recipe for it. Macey loves baking!

The entire Doernbecher XIX collection will be released on 2 December with a variety of different models. Unfortunately, we are once again left empty-handed in Europe, which is why we have to resort to reseller platforms such as StockX to get hold of a pair.
