Nike is keeping the Dunk silhouette alive and making a strong statement against the supposed decline of the model with the ‘Dunks Not Dead’. Inspired by the punk movement of the 70s and 80s, the shoe combines the aesthetics of legendary bands such as the Sex Pistols and the Dead Kennedys with the raw attitude of the DIY scene.

The trainers combine a black leather base with roughly cut canvas overlays in olive green, reminiscent of faded military jackets. Exposed seams and a ripped look emphasise the rebellious design. Pale pink details on the Swoosh and insole set special accents. Individuality is a top priority, as Velcro areas under the Swoosh and on the tongue allow you to attach your own patches. Another highlight are the removable button badges, including the ‘DUNKS NOT DEAD’ lettering.
