With the Field General, Nike is expanding its Lunar New Year 2026 collection with a silhouette from the early 80s that fits perfectly with this year's ‘Year of the Horse’ theme. Instead of eye-catching colours, Nike has opted for restraint and subtle details that only reveal themselves at second glance.

The upper is made of cream-coloured leather, which gives the shoe an elegant base. The focus is clearly on the heel, where Pegasus-inspired embroidery adds texture and depth – a subtle reference to the winged horse as the central motif of the collection. The look is complemented by a burgundy sockliner, which adds a touch of class to the sneaker.

The brown suede Swoosh is particularly striking, featuring multicoloured, slightly open stitching that adds movement to the design. Small, bead-like pendants on the laces and a tongue tag with a graphic desert motif round off the overall look. Everything appears deliberately minimalist, but very well thought out.
