Nike continues its experimental First Sight range and, with the First Sight Mirage, demonstrates just how far sporting performance DNA can be translated into modern lifestyle silhouettes. Instead of drawing on classic running or basketball inspirations, the focus here is on football.

The design is clearly inspired by traditional football boots. The upper features a sleek, low-cut shape with striking overlays, textured panels and dynamic lines directly inspired by modern boots. At the same time, the silhouette looks more like a fashion piece than a performance shoe.

The real highlight, however, lies beneath the foot. The eye-catching platform sole reinterprets the shape of classic football studs, transforming the functional elements into a futuristic design feature. The three-dimensionally moulded TPU construction creates a unique look that sits somewhere between the runway and streetwear.

The First Sight Mirage is part of Nike’s new First Sight initiative, which reinterprets familiar sports categories through a fashion lens. Whilst other models in the collection draw on running or basketball elements, the Mirage encapsulates the current fusion of football and fashion – a theme that could hardly be more topical in the run-up to the 2026 World Cup.
