Nike Basketball is expanding the “Unseen Hours” series, this time focusing on the DMV region around Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. Following the first East Coast collection for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, the spotlight is now on the basketball culture of the capital region.

The Nike GT Future “DMV” is all about cherry blossom vibes. The entire upper is finished in bold Hyper Pink, immediately evoking Washington’s famous cherry blossoms, which characterise the city every spring. The futuristic lines and sculpted side panels further enhance the eye-catching look.

Black details on the Swoosh, tongue, laces, lining and outsole provide contrast. The regional DMV elements are particularly exciting: the tongue features “VA” branding and a “703” area code as a tribute to Northern Virginia. Additionally, the insoles display special map graphics of the region.

Technically, the GT Future remains a true basketball performance model. Nike combines a full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit with additional forefoot Zoom Air and Cushlon 3.0 foam for maximum cushioning and responsiveness.

The “Unseen Hours” collection is designed to celebrate the hard work and basketball culture away from the spotlight. Alongside the GT Future, the new DMV series also includes a GT Cut 1 and a Zoom Hyperflight.
