TLDR: The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Dodgers” combines Kobe Bryant’s basketball legacy with a clear tribute to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Rush Blue dominates the colourway, whilst Wolf Grey, red baseball stitching and hidden ‘8’ and ‘24’ details complete the LA-inspired theme. It is set to be released on 15 August 2026 for €180. With the Kobe 5 Pro Tro “Dodgers”, Nike brings one of the most iconic sports themes from the Kobe line to a new silhouette. Having already attracted a great deal of attention on the Kobe 6, this is now followed by a version of the Kobe 5 that once again blends basketball and baseball.
The upper is almost entirely in “Rush Blue” and is broken up by “Wolf Grey” Swooshes. White details around the Kobe Sheath logo and the Swoosh add a touch of brightness, whilst red accents further emphasise the connection to the Dodgers.
The most striking detail is on the heel: There, red stitching in the style of a baseball runs across the trainer. In addition, individual support panels and eyelets feature a slightly snake-like texture, which retains the signature Kobe look and adds more depth to the otherwise very clean colourway.
The release will also be available not only in adult sizes, but also in GS and preschool sizes. As always, you can find all the info on shops, available sizes and potential restocks at Grailify – especially with Kobe releases, it’s worth checking out the confirmed retailers early on 😉
