Nike Kobe 8 Protro "Mambacita"

Nike Basketball continues its tribute to the late Gianna "Gigi" Bryant with the launch of the Kobe 8 Protro "Mambacita". Following the success of previous Gigi-themed releases, this new edition features a black and white colourway inspired by the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation jerseys, adorned with butterfly graphics symbolising Gigi's spirit.

The sneaker features a white engineered mesh upper, highlighted by black butterfly designs, black accents and metallic gold Swooshes. Special details include "Gigi" and her jersey number "2" on the heels, celebrating her memory and influence.

The Kobe 8 Protro "Mambacita" will be released on 1 May 2024. This date has a special significance as it marks Gigi's 18th birthday and is therefore a heartfelt tribute to her enduring legacy.

This special edition sneaker will be available at select Nike Basketball retailers both in-store and online, as well as on Nike.com.
