Nike is now expanding its successful Mind 001 series for the first time with a new Flyknit version. Following several quick sell-outs of previous releases, the futuristic slip-on gets a significantly more breathable and textured upgrade.

The new “Hyper Royal” colourway features bold shades of blue and black, combined with eye-catching Volt accents on the Swoosh, insole and the familiar 22 sensor nodes under the sole. It is precisely these bright details that further enhance the sneaker’s futuristic look.

The major update, however, lies in the upper. Instead of the previous smooth construction, Nike now uses a Flyknit material that gives the shoe more texture, better ventilation and added comfort. Despite the change in material, the core concept of the silhouette remains intact.

As with all Mind 001 models, the special sensor nodes take centre stage here too. Developed by the Nike Mind Science Department, these are designed to stimulate specific areas of the foot and create a particularly comfortable running experience – somewhere between wellness technology and a modern lifestyle trainer.

The Mind 001 thus remains one of the most unusual and, at the same time, most successful Nike releases of the year.
