With the Moon Shoe OG, Nike continues its journey back to its running roots. The silhouette is based on one of the very first Nike prototypes – the legendary “Moon Shoe” from 1971, which was developed at the time using a waffle sole made in a waffle iron and later formed the basis for many iconic Nike runners.

The new “Midnight Navy” version remains extremely faithful to the historic design and combines minimalist retro running with modern lifestyle vibes. The upper is made of dark blue canvas and is complemented by jagged overlay details on the toe box and eyestay. This gives the trainer more structure and character despite its simple construction.

Additional suede overlays on the sides and heel add depth to the design. The white Swoosh and white tongue label provide strong contrasts to the dark upper, giving the trainer a classic vintage look. The colourway is rounded off by the iconic gum sole, which perfectly complements the Moon Shoe’s heritage DNA.
