Nike's latest SB Dunk Low collaboration brings real local colour to the streets: the ‘Muni Fast Pass’ colourway pays homage to the old San Francisco Municipal Railway monthly passes that expired in 2014. The passes were particularly popular with skaters – after all, they took entire crews to legendary spots like EMB and Pier 7.
The sneaker visually captures this historic aesthetic: a split look separates the upper in the middle into Safety Orange and Baroque Brown, while the holographic shimmering Swoosh is reminiscent of the silver security strip on the Fast Pass cards. A black midsole, grey outsole and an insole with a Golden Gate Bridge graphic complete the look.
The ‘Muni Fast Pass’ is more than just a sneaker – it is a visual timestamp for an era of skate culture and local transport nostalgia. Rumour has it that Nike is planning a 12-part series, with a new colourway released each month – inspired by the monthly changing colours of the real tickets.
