Nike SB once again releases a very special and high-quality Dunk Low inspired by a Porsche race car. This latest colourway from Beaverton looks a lot like the old Porsche 917/20 "Sau" from 1971.

The Porsche 917/20 "Sau" Le Mans race car is a legend, and now, the German car has supposedly inspired the next sneaker. But why is the car called "Sau" in the first place? "Sau" is the German word for sow. The individual components are separated by dotted lines and labelled with pieces of meat from the pig.

Nike apparently finds this pattern and the idea behind it very inspiring and therefore uses it for the next colourway. The strong pink resembles the pig's colour and the red stitching in between reduces the sneaker to the single elements like the Porsche.

But to continue to look elegant, Nike leaves out the individual lettering, while the black/white sole is reminiscent of the car's number, 23.
