The new Nike Ekiden 2026 collection includes the Vomero Plus, Vaporfly 4, Alphafly 3 and Rival Fly 4 models – all in an energetic ‘Volt’ colourway with black contrasts, white accents and dynamic colour gradients. The shoes look a bit like the Air Zoom Katana, a true cult model from 2001. The ‘blade-like’ overlays and high-speed aesthetics have been carried over here.

Special details such as red Japanese characters on the tongue (on the Vaporfly, Alphafly & Vomero) and graphic elements reminiscent of the Katana design underline the connection to the Japanese relay tradition. Runners pass a fabric band (‘tasuki’) between them over long distances.

The collection will be released on 12 December 2025, just in time for the new running season, and will be available for approximately £180 per pair.
