Off-White x Nike Zoom Vaporfly

The "The Ten" series by Virgil Abloh, together with Off-White and Nike, was one of the biggest success stories in the sneaker scene in 2017. The hype that was created was hard to believe. We also pulled countless L's in the raffles (and 1-2 wins 😀). But the fact is that this deconstructed style by Abloh has completely stirred up the sneaker scene in 2017. The limited edition Nike icons in typical Virgil Abloh style were just too irresistible.

In "The Ten" collection from 2017, Abloh took ten popular silhouettes from Nike and completely deconstructed and reinterpreted them. The results are truly unique models, which is also confirmed by the resale prices.

One of these ten new interpretations was this Off-White x Nike Zoom Vaporfly. In all of the ten releases, you can clearly see Abloh's influence right away. The designs are all inspired by the industrial design, creating this wacky and "unfinished" look. For example, Abloh has turned the tongue completely upside down, stamped some labels on it like "SHOELACES" and "FOAM”, and put a cable tie on the silhouette. This way, Abloh has brought the unmistakable “Off-White look" directly onto our favourite Nike models. Abloh has kept the Zoom Vaporfly in the same off-white shade that he has applied to most silhouettes from "The Ten" collection.

If you want to catch a piece from the collection, you will have to settle for really heavy reseller prices. The Off-White x Nike Zoom Vaporfly was released in 2017 and was, of course, sold out instantly. At "normal" retail prices, this silhouette is no longer available!
