Pokémon celebrates its 30th anniversary with an extensive adidas collection. Rayquaza takes over the Adistar Control 5, a stability running shoe originally introduced in 2008 whose complex Y2K construction suits the dragon-like shape of the third-generation Pokémon.

Black open mesh forms the foundation of the upper. Glossy overlays in several shades of green sit on top, recreating the appearance of Rayquaza’s shimmering scales. Thin red lines along the sides and yellow sections on the tongue and heel transfer the Legendary Pokémon’s signature colour scheme to the silhouette.

Embroidered Rayquaza artwork and Pokémon branding decorate the tongue, while a Poké Ball lace detail provides another clear reference to the collaboration. A lateral “Rayquaza” plate and a black-and-green sole complete the design. Underneath the colourful upper, the Adistar Control 5 combines a FORMOTION heel construction with ADIPRENE+ in the forefoot and a stabilising TORSION SYSTEM.
