Pokemon x adidas Samba OG "Mewtwo"

To mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, adidas is pulling out all the stops. Instead of releasing just one or two special editions, it’s launching an extensive collection comprising a total of 13 trainers that combine different generations of the Pokémon world with iconic adidas silhouettes.

Pikachu takes centre stage on several models. A Pro Model and a Superstar feature a fluffy yellow upper, black details and Poké Ball pendants. There’s also another Superstar with a white base and all-over Pikachu graphics.

The complete evolutionary line-up centred on Charmander is also included. The ‘Charmander’ Superstar features cream and orange, whilst ‘Charmeleon’ looks significantly more aggressive with a bold red upper and claw-like Three Stripes. On the ‘Charizard’, a wing-shaped tab over the eyelets creates the most eye-catching look of the three models.

Things take a darker turn with the Ghost-type Pokémon. Gengar, Haunter and Gastly appear on various Adistar silhouettes featuring shades of purple, striking overlays and character-specific graphics. Mewtwo even gets three models of its own: the Samba OG, the ZX 8000 and the Spezial. Particularly exciting are details such as Master Ball lace dubraes, triangular eyelets and unusual heel loops.

Rayquaza rounds off the collection with green-and-black designs on the F50 Tunit Mega and Megaride F50, as well as the Adistar Control 5. Poké Ball accessories, custom tongue graphics, textured materials and special co-branding feature throughout the entire drop. Matching apparel pieces and accessories for adults and children are also set to be released.
