With the PUMA Velum, Salehe Bembury shows a calmer, more controlled side of his design. While many of his best-known projects work with bold colours, the ‘Magenta Gleam’ colourway deliberately strikes a more serious tone, clearly setting it apart from previous releases. At the same time, the designer's signature style remains unmistakable.

The upper combines a magenta mesh base with dark grey welded overlays that give the shoe structure and depth. The whole thing is complemented by a brown midsole and blue PUMA Formstrips, which provide targeted contrasts. The striking fingerprint outsole remains at the core of the design and gives the Velum its unique character.

Despite the strong focus on design, the shoe remains clearly performance-oriented. NITROFOAM cushioning ensures a light, responsive ride, making the Velum not only visually interesting but also functionally impressive. This positions the model squarely between innovative design and serious performance running.
