Spain's sivasdescalzo (SVD) has now unveiled its first ever collab with ASICS, and for it, the partners are using the ever-popular ASICS GEL-Lyte III. In addition to reinterpreting Shigeyuki Mitsui's 31-year-old design, Spanish retailer SVD has taken an environmentally conscious approach. Already the base is made of recycled materials. Inside, we find a plant-based "Angora Stonewash" cotton/linen blend, laces made from bristly jute, and naturally dyed leather from leftover sneaker waste.

But not only is the upper of the SVD x ASICS GEL-Lyte III made of sustainable materials, but the sole also contains foam scraps from other sneakers. Furthermore, the outsole is made of natural latex, but promises the usual durability and comfort. Lastly, SVD immortalises itself with its logos on the side and back heels.
