Union x Nike Dunk Low

It's fair to say that 2021 is definitely the year of the Nike Dunk Low. Numerous eye-catching, as well as simple colourways, have been released and were received with joy by the sneaker community. Collaboration partners have also drawn a lot of attention to the low-cut silhouette. With two Dunk Lows having been announced so far, Union LA now also wants to ensure a renewed rush for the sneaker.

At first glance, the collaboration between the two partners looks like you're looking directly into a maths book. The entire upper of the sneaker is adorned with many small boxes. All elements, such as the base or the overlays, therefore present a chequered design. This comes about through the use of so-called ripstop nylon, which is supposed to make certain garments particularly tear-resistant.

The base is a rich purple, while the overlays are a light blue. On the Swoosh, however, a greyish hue is used, subtly contrasting with the other colours. The stitching on the overlays is coloured orange, creating a strong contrast on the sneaker. On the outside of the shoe, there is a small button with Union LA branding, which is complemented by the other logos on the blue inner sole and slightly transparent icy outer sole. There are also small yellow patches on the outside with "UN/LA" written on them.

The laces and tongue bring a little neutrality to the colourway, having a clean white finish. The Nike emblem on the tongue is in light blue again. A look at the back also reveals the typical Nike inscriptions in a rich blue tone. Another special feature of the sneaker are the reflective Swooshes and heel elements, which make the shoe a genuine eye-catcher in the dark.
