Vans is really stepping up its game with the Old Skool at the moment and is taking a rather unusual approach with the ‘Gemstone’ Pack. Instead of the classic skate look, there are eye-catching jewellery vibes here that give the iconic trainer a completely fresh look.

The focus is on two colourways: a dark mix of brown leather and canvas, and a lighter mauve/pink version. Both remain fairly simple in their base design, but the details take them to a whole new level. Turquoise and silver “gemstones” are scattered across the toe, heel and tongue, immediately catching the eye.

Despite the eye-catching makeover, the Old Skool’s DNA remains intact. The classic silhouette, which has been around since the 70s, continues to ensure everyday wearability and easy styling. The iconic side stripe comes in metallic silver here and fits perfectly with the shiny overall look.
