The year 2022 was characterised by anime-inspired streetwear and sneaker collaborations. Naruto, Gundam, Dragon Ball Z, and Astro Boy have been the norm in recent months, and sporting goods manufacturers like adidas are sticking to that.

Everyone is pretty much familiar with the absolutely hip trading card game from the 2000s. To this day, fans trade and play Yu-Gi-Oh! cards at major tournaments. Next up is a multi-part collection with adidas, as the German sports giant has announced two sneakers and two loafers.

Yami Yugi and his antagonist Seto Kaiba, as well as their signature monsters "Blue Eyes White Dragon" and "Dark Magician", represent the four-piece collection. Each pair comes with an Exodia part, making a total of two arms and two legs.

The adidas ADI2000 "Blue Eyes White Dragon" uses a white leather base contrasted by prints of the namesake monster on the outside. The laces come with grey dots, while Seto Kaiba's company logo can be found on the centre of the shoe's tongue. The gold Exodia hangtag is also placed on the upper right eyelet. The inner soles showcase the signature pattern seen on the backs of playing cards, while co-branding highlights the collaboration.
