The adidas Y-3 Kaiwa "Core Black" Takes the Label Back to Basics

Most recently, adidas has released the luxurious Y-3 Kaiwa in August in a loud "Semi Frozen" colourway. Now, the silhouette returns to basics as the latest colourway features a blank slate in "Core Black". It has a premium construction made of fine materials and features minimalist details.

The new adidas Y-3 Kaiwa "Core Black" does not feature any innovative technologies. Instead, the sneaker convinces us with its restrained colourway. The titular black is seen on the premium materials of the upper, which consists of tumbled leather, suede, and synthetic materials.

Further down, the enlarged shapes of the midsole follow, featuring the signature Yohji Yamamoto branding in black. The rest of the sole contrasts in cream and white, which is clearly a departure from the dark shade.
