Nike has uploaded the official images of the Air Jordan 1 Mid "Africa", which we present to you here. The sporting goods manufacturer has not yet announced a release date, but the shoes are expected to drop later this year.

Yet again, the Air Jordan 1 Mid serves as a canvas for the influences of other cultures and ideas. Some models are more eccentric than others and even outdo the high version. Here, the new Air Jordan 1 Mid takes inspiration from Africa. The outline of the continent adorns the subtle stripes on the back.
The new Air Jordan 1 Mid is surrounded by an array of colourful pieces. Tumbled red leather forms the base of the silhouette. Next to it, cracks run across the collar and Swooshes, which may be a reference to the dry Sahara.
The other overlays may also be an homage to the continent. They are reminiscent of African landmarks, namely the elephants of the savannah, whereas the other parts have a completely different structure.
