Eric Kilburn, a high school football player from Michigan, got help from some major sneaker brands after his feet grew to size US23. He knew the struggle with fluctuating shoe sizes all too well: when switching from the hard-to-find size 22 to the downright challenging size 23, Eric's shoes kept stretching and causing painful blisters. As a result, several shoe brands like Reebok and Puma got in touch and personally contacted Erik's parents. Not only were they able to give him custom-made shoes for his larger size, but he even got a call from basketball icon Shaquille O'Neal as a bonus!
 

 
When his parents asked for help for his growing feet, Nike reportedly told them they would only help if Eric was a professional athlete. adidas customer service even said that the family's story would only attract positive attention if it went viral - which, of course, it did. After sneaker brands learned of Kilburn's struggle, help quickly followed. Under Armour made a 3D scan of his feet and Puma provided a custom fit. But things really took off when Reebok showed up with shoes made for none other than Shaquille O'Neal himself! Thanks to the great support, Kilburn will now have no problems finding shoes that fit!
