The Love Letter to Late '90s Sports Advertising from PUMA and Butter Goods

PUMA has already worked with great partners this spring, most recently expanding their footwear collaborations with brands like Ferrari, Rhuigi, and White Castle. Now, there is a new project, and for this collection, PUMA will be collaborating with the label Butter Goods, a skater brand based in Perth, Australia.

Butter Goods has taken inspiration from sports advertising from the late '90s and early 2000s to create this premium PUMA Basket VTG. The shoes are made of luxe corduroy, which is in keeping with today's fashion trend, while co-branding marks the collaboration. There's also a matching t-shirt with a print to match.

Instead of the traditional smooth leather construction for the upper, Butter Goods reinterprets the sneaker with a corduroy upper. Side-moulded stripes are given the same hue but provide a slight contrast being made of soft suede. The brandings are only partially visible on the tongue. "Butter" is spelled out on a green background and placed over PUMA's logo.
