The Nike Air Max 97 "Silver Bullet" Returns in 2022

Nike's arsenal of sneakers is so vast that some anniversaries even overlap. But no one is likely to knock the Nike Air Force 1 off its throne in 2022, as the classic celebrates its 40th birthday. In contrast to that, which is probably due to the lack of notable collabs, the Nike Air Max 97 is also celebrating a birthday. More specifically, the shoes debuted 25 years ago.

In the latter half of 2022, however, Nike is turning its attention to the AM97 to bring back a celebrated release. Official images confirm a 2022 version of the iconic Nike Air Max 97 "Silver Bullet". The colourway is inspired by Japan's innovative bullet trains.

A shiny silver runs throughout the upper, covering both the leather and mesh inserts. In addition, a rich "University Red" hits the logos like the side Swooshes or tongue emblems, and the reflective details are used between the many layers.

A release is believed to be in the next few weeks. Sources report a 11 November drop, but Nike hasn't confirmed it yet. Until then, check out the first photos of the Nike Air Max 97 "Silver Bullet" (2022) here.
