This year, the Nike Dunk High "Varsity Maize" from 1985 is supposed to drop again. A comeback would be possible, because the iteration has been released several times in the past years. Sometimes, the legendary colourway is combined with other silhouettes.
The original sneaker was part of the coveted "Be True to Your School Pack" from 1985. A full-leather construction and a yellow/black colour palette are part of the basic features of the "Varsity Maize".
The colour combination is one of the most sought-after colourways. In 1999, Wu Tang and Nike dropped the Dunk High LE, which had a similar design and was allegedly only produced 36 times. A black leather base contrasts with the yellow overlays and a white midsole and yellow laces complete the overall design.
