When it comes to sustainability, it goes hand in hand with sportswear labels. Many products are now made of renewable resources or recycled materials to reduce the carbon footprint in our world. Nike's sustainable Next Nature initiative has already released several Dunks, and with this Nike Dunk Low Next Nature "University Red", the list gets longer.

This familiar design doesn't just present a popular colour scheme, as the white and red panels have more to offer. The sneakers are released under the Next Nature programme, which means that at least 20% of the sneaker is made of recycled and repurposed materials.

There is no noticeable or visual change for the wearer. A white base provides a clean background for the "University Red" overlays. Underneath, the white midsoles provide cushion, and the red Grind outsoles are made of old rubber from used sneakers that have already been discarded.
