Instead of continuing to build on the latest LeBron James silhouette, Nike is creating new colourways for older sneakers. One new iteration is the Nike LeBron 9 "Watch the Throne", which harkens back to a decade-old idea. We show you the details of the latest colourway here and also reveal the inspiration.

In 2011, when Ye and Jay-Z released the joint album "Watch the Throne", Nike released this special edition of the Nike LeBron 9. Unfortunately, the big release never happened — until today! Official images now confirm the release.

A black mesh and a carbon-fibre-inspired design make up the luxurious Nike LeBron 9 "Watch the Throne". Gold details on the sides and midfoot then highlight the lacing system and branding, while floral prints on the laces and lining take the lead. We can't take our eyes off the lace locks, though. A throne-inspired cover adorns the sneakers.
