Things Get Mystical with the Latest Jordan Zion 2

Just a few weeks ago, we got our first glimpse of the second edition of Zion Williamson's signature sneaker. The further development of the performance shoe is supposed to be even better tailored to the needs of the athlete, thus giving him the necessary advantage on the court.

This special edition is inspired by the mystical voodoo culture of New Orleans, which ultimately explains the connection to Zion and the Pelicans. The sneaker uses a colour mix of "Flax, Muslin, Sesame, Fauna Brown, Oil Green, and Moon Fossil" and mainly shows off brown and greenish tones accordingly, which are also distributed in an asymmetrical way on the sneaker.

The upper is made of durable canvas and velvety suede, with the faux fur tongues immediately catching the eye. Skulls are placed on the heels to clearly allude to the Voodoo cult. The so-called Sashiko stitching, which is distributed over the entire upper, brings even more exciting design elements into play. Zion Williamson's logos on the shoe tongues are also a must.

To perfectly frame the sneaker on the underside, the midsole is given a beige coating, while the rubberised outsole is given a light brown. To further cement the connection to Voodoo culture, more graphics in the form of needles, bones, and skulls are also placed on the inner soles. The shoe box also fits in with the theme.

The official images of the Jordan Zion 2 "Voodoo" have already been uploaded, which at first glance promises an imminent release of the colourway. However, keep in mind that the first model has not debuted yet and the drop of the Voodoo may still take a while. In any case, we'll keep you updated.
