The Air Jordan 1 is a sneaker with an incredibly long history and an unmistakable cult status. Its record has ensured that numerous variations, as well as colours, already exist, thus serving almost every preference. In 2021, we can once again look forward to a long list of original releases of the classic. Now, the young sneakerheads among us can look forward to a mid-top variant inspired by outdoor activities.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid GS "Ripstop" features a white leather base with light blue ripstop-like overlays. The so-called ripstop material is often used for outdoor clothing and is particularly tear-resistant. The special weaving technique also results in the characteristic boxes on the surface, which can also be seen on this special release. A rich "Royal Blue" colours the Swoosh, the inner lining, the tongue tags, and the lace toggles. A bright neon green is seen on most of the stitching, the Wings and Jordan logo, and the pull tab on the heel and tongue.

The midsole is kept in classic white, while the outsole also gets the eye-catching light blue shade. The look of the laces is reminiscent of the ones often used on outdoor ACG sneakers.
