Fans of the Air Jordan 7 had to stay strong this year. Compared to the top sellers like the Air Jordan 1 or the Air Jordan 3, there was really little to see of Michael Jordan's seventh signature shoe. But now, rumours of upcoming collabs with the Air Jordan 7 are appearing one after the other. Only earlier this week, rumours came to light that a Travis Scott x Air Jordan 7 was coming.
Just a few days later, the first leaks of a shoe have appeared, which by the looks of it is a collaboration with Trophy Room.
The release is supposed to be a homage to the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. The shoe is bursting with details and references to this legendary time. In terms of colour, the shoe comes dressed in a mixture of obsidian, red, and cream. There are also a few accents in metallic gold.
Particularly striking are the insoles, which are decorated with the words "Monte Carlo" and "1992". This is a reference to the training location of the American Dream Team at the time of the Olympic Games. In addition, the famous "New sherrif in town" lettering is embroidered on the inside of the tongue. This is Jordan's famous quote, which he addressed Magic Johnson and Larry Bird by.
The shoe comes with various other allusions to this famous sporting spectacle and is also delivered in a special shoe box.
All in all, it’s a true work of art!
