Two Nike Air Max 1’s Have Been Added to the "Ugly Duckling" Pack
The Nike Air Max 1 celebrated its 35th anniversary with massive colourways throughout 2022. The OG variants failed to materialise, but fans received other hip models instead. Just before the turn of the year, two more Nike Air Max 1’s will be released, adding to an older pack.
The "Ugly Duckling" Pack first appeared in 2001 when Nike released three Dunk Lows. While the latest sneakers are not a direct nod to the formerly Japan-exclusive sneakers, the mix of materials and a tonal colour scheme with new embroidery draw direct comparisons to the models.
The first Nike Air Max 1 "Ugly Duckling" gets a "Pecan/Yellow Ochre/Baroque Brown/Limestone/White" colourway. The upper and mudguard are in earthy colours, while "Yellow Ochre" gets all the attention on the laces. Right next to it is another Nike Air Max 1 "Ugly Duckling" in "Anthracite/Honeydew/Black/Kumquat". Here, the contrasting colour scheme is much stronger. Additionally, both pairs come with a duck motif on the heels.
